400 designers, 400 different stories, a single carpet! “The World’s Most Different Carpet”, which will be exhibited at CFE Carpet and Flooring EXPO, pushes the boundaries of collective creativity and adds a whole new dimension to carpet art.
An unprecedented project in the carpet sector is coming to life at the CFE Istanbul Carpet Fair. This ambitious project, which was brought to life by the Tüyap Fair Organization Group and is defined as the “World’s Most Different Carpet”, brings together the creativity, dreams and emotions of approximately 400 different designers in a single work of art.
Within the scope of the project called “My Work” (in English “#MyArtPiece”), designers from Turkey and all over the world participating in the fair are exhibiting their original designs on 20cm x 20cm canvas pieces allocated to them. Each of these pieces, which are works of art, will be combined in the form of a border of a classic carpet design to form a giant carpet.
This unique work will bring together 400 different stories, visions, hopes and talents, revealing the power of collective creativity. The project aims to create an emotional bond between fair participants and make the fair warmer.

400 pieces, a single story, a single dream
The most striking aspect of the project is that each piece tells its own unique story, and when they come together, they create a common language and emotion. When designers step into this carpet, they will not only be stepping into a work of art, but also into the blended texture of countless dreams, thoughts and emotions.
Each small piece holds a story, each color a memory, each pattern a hope. “The World’s Most Different Carpet” goes beyond being just an aesthetic object, and represents a harmony of different cultures, perspectives and artistic approaches. It aims to break new ground in the sector by bringing together traditional carpet art with modern design.
Expected to create great excitement in the design world
The project, which has created great resonance in the carpet design world, brings together a wide range of participants, from well-known designers to young talents. Each designer works meticulously in a special workshop to be set up in the fairground, using tables, chairs, paints, easels and various drawing materials to design their own piece.
Unique textures, colors and patterns will be skillfully brought together to contribute to the formation of this giant work. Designers will be able to record the creation process with photos or videos and share them on social media with the hashtags #MyWork, #MyArtPiece and #CFE2025.
Traditional craftsmanship, modern design and a strong emotional bond
“The World’s Most Different Carpet” to be exhibited at the CFE Istanbul Carpet Fair will be the most concrete example of how the carpet industry can bring together traditional craftsmanship and modern design. While each designer tells a different story in their own piece, they reinterpret the traditional cultural meaning of the carpet with modern art and design. The carpet that emerges thanks to this project will not only be a design, but also a work that reveals what is hidden inside each designer, the unique details that make them who they are.
Support for art and innovation from Tüyap
When the project is completed, a single-piece carpet with high participation will emerge. This unique work will be served to local and global media as “The Carpet Designed by the Most Designers in the World” and the project is planned to be continued at the 2026 fair.
With this project, Tüyap proves once again that it is not only a fair organizer but also a strong supporter of art and innovation. The “World’s Most Different Carpet” project provides a new perspective to the sector while also offering an art experience that will inspire fair visitors.
